So nice to "meet you" in person! Great job. :)
I love this!! I'm already wanting to do another flog. Why? I love that sense of interaction! And let's be honest, I love hearing myself talk.
Jennifer, I want to see you talk! And Gabrielle, and all my bloggie peeps! This was kind of a rough-shod job, but I wanted you to get to know me AND my characters a little better!
Love your characters names =) I listen to music too. It's so helpful to me. Fun seeing a little more about your writing process.
You are so funny! I row boats backwards too...seems like it's the story of my life.Love your accent- nice to have a sound to go with the face. Sorry you have neither for me. So, what are your songs for your characters?
I loved learning about yours, too, Joanne! And it's funny--for each book, it's different. For my first book, I think it was entirely in my head. For this one, I wanted more help visualizing. Pinterest has helped so much! Oh, and there are pics of Gudrid, Leif, and Freydis on my Pinterest board titled "God's Daughter/Book Inspirations." I have different pics for each person...you know it's hard to find someone that fits exactly w/your vision. My Snorri was a tricky one to find pics of...he's not your model-type dude. But he's a sweetie.
HDG-I vlogged last week, and as far as I know, inspired tens of thousands. Or not. Check out my blog. There's even a Bolivia video!
Yes, I actually toned that accent down a little for the video, TC. Grin. And songs? Well, they're not Christian music. But they are especially apt for their driving themes. Finn's song is "Think Twice Before you Touch My Girl" by Eve 6 (haven't heard any of their other stuff!). Leif's is "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down, and I have some spazzy songs for the messed-up Freydis for my next book! One is Florence + the Machine "Heavy in your Arms" for her.
Shoot, JM, how did I miss this video? Thought I was all caught up on your blogposts! I think you inspired millions. Add me to the list.
A million and one!! Wooo!!Or, like, five!
Okay...I can't hold it in!!"nay-all day-yoon".SO cute!I would have to say my theme song for my lead characters,(Tag and Sarah) would be, Steve Winwood's "Don't You Know What the Night Can Do?"Seriously. Could. Melt. Everytime I hear it.Tag is a cross bewtween Wes Studi in Last of the Mohicans and Jay Tavarro in Into the West.Whew. Is it warm in here?
I've heard the first 2 songs/artists but not the last. You should hear my accent! My spouse still makes fun of me sometimes!
Heather - what fun! I keep trying to work up the courage to do the whole vlog thing but I'm so afraid I'm going to send people away rather than give them a reason to stay! One of these days I will, I will, I will.Vlog, that is, Hopefully not send people away.Love the idea of inspirational paintings....
Ha--Becky, I've yet to see if people will continue coming back after mine! It was a bit spastic. I've decided to try to stay put NEAR the camera for the next one. But it is rather fun, and a great way to connect! Just wish I could "talk" with all of you!
It was great to hear your voice. What fun. Thanks!
Awesome! I feel like I know you a little better now. :) My latest WiP was inspired by seeing a student driver on the freeway. The whole story spun out of that one image. Weird, I know. Ironically, student driving isn't even part of the novel anymore. ha ha!
